right as i finished running today, it started to rain.  its so rare that it rains here, but when it does, it pours.  it was nice to have my cool down walk in the rain.  by the end of it, there were some very large and tempting puddles all over the ground.  thus i was forced to extend my walk, those puddles being far too enticing.

i really like to lay down on a space of pavement right as it starts to rain.  and let the rain pelt into my eyes, as i tried to keep them open and stare up into the falling droplets.  i wait until both the pavement around me and i (or at least, the front of me) are completely soaked.  then i stand up.  there, almost branded into the ground, is a meredith sillouette, which i sit and watch as it slowly disappeared into the warm grey of wet pavement.

i dont like to use umbrellas.  i dont mind my hair being matted to my face from the rain.  it doesnt bother me when my pants are so weighed down by the water thats saturated into them up to the knees.  no puddle is too shallow.  and certainly, no puddle is too deep.

i want to marry a cowboy.

I loved your journal entry...my favorite is the smell of rain, or right before it rains...the musty smell it creates as it kicks up dust from the pavement and the fields is a smell to die for. It's a smell that takes me back to my childhood days of raincoats and mud puddles. It takes me back to my basic training...being pelted by raindrops, doing pushups (the smell of rain takes up a whole new meaning when it's an inch from your nose LOL), then getting back into our tents, to cower from the rain until the next day. It reminds me of the girl I held in my arms just 2 weeks ago during her visit here on my balcony during a thunderstorm...our first thunderstorm. We stood there for at least an hour in each others' arms, fascinated by the sheer beauty of God's creation. Your entries always make me think--and this one has reminded me of a lot. :)

i swear umbrellas suck more than...suckers. :|

i love the rain too, until the temperature starts dropping and i have to go inside.

but i love it when my hair or i get wet. :)

it all dries after anyway so i don't see why ppl get so freaked when it rains.

Dude, if I saw a person (you especially) lying in the middle of the sidewalk during a storm, I'd probably kick you or call a rapist, since you're just asking for it.

Poeticism is lost on me, neh? *cruel laughter*
